BILs old C70 is tired and rusted and driving me nuts. Dragged it out of the weeds last week, started chasing no start, led to eaten fuel hose then a rusted off stand pipe. Next up brake fluid dribbling down frame in three spots and power steering gear is running a pencil lead stream. Mind you I have replaced radiator, worked on rusted off brake tubing and overhauled the 4bbl governor holley twice over six years. Sitting is destroying it faster than anything. Had decided WTH time to pack it up, but the 366 still runs well when dribble gas down the throats, has a eaten up crash box 5 speed I believe is Clark with at least have the syncros bad and the 2 speed in non functional. Left door, door glass regulator and seat are trash as well no rockers nor floor pans left in old cab.
Called local yard and they have a few cabs to peruse which I will do tomorrow. May just get the wife or neighbor to aid me in dragging it up to the shop so can get a start on it. 5 or 6 yard bed needs a floor, some side reinforcements and some zippering welds redone and cab guard reconfigure but hoist itself is strong and functions smooth, Belt driven pump where can be a little odd at first but can use hydraulics with clutch disengaged and in gear. It AIN'T Purty. These were taken Four years ago. Can change the frame mount gas filter thru cab floor as well drop a basketball thru it never hit a edge.
