So far I like the truck but I have not been into a real tight spots with it yet either. Then the power. Wow is all I can say to describe it. I thought my C-15 had power but this thing has a tune in it putting out 770HP. It will get up and go. I hauled a SK210 today with it from Cambridge OH to West Harrison IN. Brought it across I70 and there are a few descent hills across there and it didn't even know they were there. I actually had to look back to make sure it was still on the trailer.
The W9's wheelbase is 285" and I think the 9400i's is like 275" - 280". Not much difference there but the set back front axle makes a huge difference. They both drive pretty much the same but the W9 does ride a little better. I like how the 9400's cab is a little wider than the W9's but the creature comforts of the W9 makes up for that. The narrow cab of the W9 makes it a little harder to get into the bunk.
Overall I like the W9 and probably should have tried it sooner. I am glad the Bossman finally talked me into it. I should have let him talk me into it a long time ago but I just couldn't convince myself that I needed it and to be honest I am still not convinced of it, but He said I deserved and needed it so I will just have to live with his decision.
Onto the Pete. I am pretty sure he bought it because he couldn't find a W9 that was up to his standards. He is now saying he wants a fleet of hoods pulling the lowboys and not just W9's. He has been adding lights and chrome to it all week. He had the ECM reprogrammed the other day with the same tune my W9 has in it.
Here is a pic from today of me driving through the freaking snow. I don't care to drive a big truck in he snow one bit. The other pic is of the Bossmans new Pete. This is before He got it home. I don't have any pics of it since he got it home.
