The Sign That Your 13 or 18 Speed is Taking A Dump

If under power or letting off the throttle the shift lever moves back and fourth, the trans is not long for this world. RTLO18913 and 18 speed
high torque transmissions can have one major fault. The rear main shaft support bearing in the front section. When this bearing starts to fail you
may not hear any unusual noise, but the sure sign of trouble is when resting your hand on the shifter and you notice the shifter moving back and
fourth under on off throttle. It lets the main shaft float back and fourth when the bearing goes bad. If the gear box has lower mileage it might be repairable for not to much $. But in a lot of cases the price to rebuild it
verses a reman works out the same, and most remans come with a two years warranty such as Eaton or Weller.

Thanks, I'll be truck shopping in the spring.
This could be a life saver knowing what to look for.
