Mobile Column lifts

Does anyone out there have any insight on Mobile Column Lifts? I am thinking about buying a set of 4. Any brand preferences? Wire or Battery? Cable or Cableless? Screw or Hydraulic. Any other considerations? We wouldn't use them alot, but sure would be nice when needed.

Well from what I have seen hydraulic is the best way to go. but I suppose more expensive. When it comes to jacks and lifting equipment safety is the first issue. I have seen several
different brands and most are of the same design anyway but like anything else it usually comes down to cost. I was just in a shop that had Mohawk lifts but I didn't ask about them.
The lifts didn't look very old and setting unused at the time. The way trucks are built these days a shop just about has to have them.

hello we have rotary column lifts we have 4 of them. somedays we have trucks going up and down like yoyo's they are a game changer for sure. If I can upload a picture I will. they are good for 18,000 lbs each. They are hydraulic and wireless. I would go wireless we run 2 on a pickup and 2 on another pickup. It gets pricy at first but if you don't go for the good options at the beginning you will regret it. Ours didn't come with the pressure gauges on them which comes with a chart so you can scale the truck, we were going to add later and it never happened yet after 3 years. we haven't maxed them out yet but we have 2 tandem trucks that they go up just a wee bit slower then the other trucks. we lift our forklifts as well.
