That was last evening, this was this morning. Been on the phone since trying to get a VIN Validation, spoke to Cty Sheriff, then MoSHP, then the MoDOR Inspection group. Are still trying to figure out who is responsible. And with the truck in all the way to wall Hood will Open!!

Straight forward easy day. Picked the ACERT Turbo equipment off right side for maneuvering room and drained whatever that crap was in the Fuel Tanks prior to shifting them rearward, smelled AWFUL!! dropped pan, oil pump and windage tray(took a Direct Hit from sludgy oil to Forehead and Hat, at least NOT Detroit Two Stroke, came RIGHT off no stain. Pulled pizz cans and rods, was close to eating #1 & 6 rod bearings, journals look OK, other four bearing shells appeared normal for age.

Whilst In that Region just happened to notice the Stray Red Out of place Wire. Back to When in doubt run a New Wire. By initial appearance, going to order Front mount inserts too, have split and laid down some.

Those KW mounts never were that tough, look for aftermarket urethane. Cheaper anyway, That KW stuff oem is just stupid in price.
You might want to compare or look at AgKit for some engine parts, I have installed some of their engine kits in Series 60's
no problems at all. What shape was the block to head intermediate plate in?

Just getting down to deck surface, want to pull sleeves and see what kind of erosion I have, 4 State Trucks and Montgomery Salvage both have the Urethane mount inserts, on that already!! Considered AGKits, will likely get the head from there if not from CAT. Was astonished as to IPD pricing, can buy Cylinder packs from CAT roughly $600/hole, includes reman rods and rod bearings, working with parts tech on if can interchange 6NZ piston packs for the ACERT BXS without disrupting the world. Cat New head in lieu of Reman and exchange for ANY core with a overhaul kit is $4k, IPD 6NZ overhaul set but has mains is $3700 no head in offerings, aftermarket head cheapest found(AgKit) $3400. If only saving a few hundred, sticking with CAT.

Did order a APTIV connector kit to get rid of the wiring 'repairs' that abound on the truck.

Unable to locate salvage the air tank support arms to move fuel tank supports back, KW here is looking to see IF still available and at what cost, may have my steel supplier make up the two pair of formed C channels.

As can see in the photos, considerable heavy corrosion on steel. Will need to replace a number of small panels, bundle retainers and some odd hard parts due to that. East Coast air and road salt must have been ROUGH!! Will have to use rust converter/killer on top radiator tank and radiator framing. Priority is get engine runnable IF buildable. Aesthetics are last on the list.

Got to cleaning off intermediate plate, some levels of corruption, may opt to replace it. Ordered mount cushions from MI Truck Spring, least expensive including frt., polyurethane.

Awaiting the sleeve puller as could not persuade them by old methods moved to other matters. Have swept up under the machine since photos.

Pulled cables forward and worked at removal of lift axle materials, removed right stack and brackets for that exhaust as will return to under hung 'T' instead of under the cab. Previous wrench monkeys work is less than impressive as to Detail oriented.

For as long as I worked on machines has always been Road Work surprises and any manner of cluster FK arrangement by somebody in a hurry. Part of me HAS to eliminate such stuff!!!

Never a dull moment, Today pulled Left tank and mounts, removed added in air tubing for repositioned tank. Need to replenish 5/8" bolts and nuts, either buy or have made spacers for tank mounts and tool/batt boxes rear mounts.

Corn Queens/earlier trucks only had a light duty cross brace to support a cross over line, this unit has the two line to tank system with auto swapping valve(Will get replaced, so NOT playing with that) where nothing attaches to this these days so really no purpose.

Alright then. Took wife to Doc appointment today, has a mass they have been watching, and decided after today's imaging need to biopsy, next week friday. Ride home a bit quiet.

Get home, buddy had been by, left a note with puller Send cash and keep puller, NEVER used in six years taking up space for other stuff. So set off to shop. TEN Minutes later, after unpackaging looking over the mechanism and setting it to the engine, Sleeves are ALL Up out of bores. DAMN, i should have invested in one of these 45+ years ago. And Yes, cash in in mail and I am KEEPING this. Can remember slugging and slogging to get sleeves moving with four pound hammer and block of oak, WTH did I beat myself like that!!!!
